What I like about this yoga mat is the color and it's texture. It keeps me away from slipping. It is a thin mat and that can be uncomfortable in some poses on a hard floor. But that is to be expected for a mat that thin. I use it mainly on carpet and that works just fine. At least this mat is not so heavy and can therefore be transported easily (I go to my yoga class by bike or walking, if you have a car and weight and size is not an issue, you might as well buy a thick mat). What I do not like about the mat is that it starts falling apart already, even though I had it for less than two months. The material seems brittle. Because of that I would not buy it again. The fact that it is biodegradable it nice but I don't want it to be degrading in my home !
