All Steel Drag Mat 3Wx5L feet Review

I used this item to level my Bermuda grass. I spread river sand around the yard and then drag the yard with this mat behind my mower. Great way to work all the sand in and get it really level. You could not do it with a rake as good as you can with this mat. Highly recommend.

Gaiam Restorative Yoga For Vitality Kit Review

This kit was great! The DVD was good (I kind of skimmed it causealready have a Routine) The mat was really good, cause the room I work out in has cement floors and this mat was twice as thick as my last one. The thing that stood out the most where the yoga blocks they where super usefull and I now can add a few new Yoga Poses to my routine. I think this kit is worth the price just for the blocks alone but the mat and DVD are a great bonus!!

Hitting Mats Review

Although it is very cheap, this mat is very very thin, made with really poor materials. A few shots and the base rubber starts to crack, then fall of the mat. If you want a golf mat just spend a little more money and buy something better. Something that will last for sometime this will be torn in less than a month I can guarantee.

Yoga Mat w/ Carry Strap Review

I travel all over town teaching yoga and this mat and strap combination works great for me.It's convenient to sling over your shoulder (very useful when you also have to carry a CD player and a bag of straps and eye pillows!) plus the strap is comfortable so it doesn't chafe my shoulder if I'm wearing a tank top.

Pilates AM Mat Workout Review

This Pilates workout is sort of an odd blend.On the one hand, instructor Jillian Hessell spends a lot of time focused on the breath, which would be very helpful to Pilates beginners.Furthermore, she provides a rather abbreviated mat sequence--for example performing "50s" instead of the tradional hundred exercise and doing only two quick side series exercises.On the other hand, she does not give much detailed instruction about form, shows no modifications, and performs a few of the exercises at a very quick pace, including the criss-cross and swan dive, which would make this workout more ideally suited to advanced beginners or lower intermediates (most likely on a light day).

The DVD breaks the workout into three segments, Breathing, Matwork, and Centering.The Breathing segment, about 4.5 minutes long, is performed seated in a chair, and it includes both breathing instruction and a few simple stretches.The 16.5 minute Matwork sequence begins with a controlled sit-down and roll-back.A band is used to modify the roll-up and single leg cirlces, and few repetitions are performed for the exercises.Finally, the workout concludes with a 3-minute Centering section, which involves additional breathing instruction, basic stretches, and a tiptoe balance, all in a standing position.

This 26-minute workout would probably be best suited to Pilates beginners who have some prior familiarity with the Pilates exercises and are looking for a relatively basic workout.

Elliptical GymTough Dura Mat Review

I have had two previous mats for my treadmill that were made of a soft, foam-like material. That seems to be what everyone carries. That might be fine but my cat thinks it's a scratching pad and destroys them leaving black chunks of foam all over the house. This mat is great. It is solid and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't have an odor like most rubber mats do. The other great thing is this mat was less than half of anything I found like it in retail stores even with the shipping charges.

Classic Yoga Mat Bag Review

The construction is excellent: It's made from a very sturdy cotton canvas material that is going to last forever, but is still pleasantly soft. The stitching is surprisingly well-done, with no exposed edges anywhere to fray or pull. (On my black bag, the stitching is a cool contrasting white.) The strap is very rugged, of the same nice fabric: plus there is enough extra strap for it to double-over the whole length of the bag. It feels very nice on your shoulder.Good-sized zip-pocket on theoutside will hold all your normal keys, wallet, phone, etc.

The detailing is really nice: all the buckles, zippers and other details are a solid metal that is finished like aged brass.The only logo on it is cool, but is hidden way down at the bottom so you don't notice it if you don't like such things. A couple notes though, for Drishti to improve: the pull-strings have these neat metal pieces at the ends, which are very attractive. However, at the default length of the strings, when the bag is closed and you swing it over your shoulder, they whip around and hit you in the head.Buyers should take them off and either shorten the strings or just leave them off. (Be sure to re-knot the strings.) Drishti should shorten the strings and/or remove these. Second, the clamp to hold the bag closed looks really nice but is a touch weak.The bag won't fall open, but doesn't stay shut quite as snugly as I would like.

Size: I have a 3/8-inch mat, which is a mat of above-average thickness.(Average seems to be 1/4 inch, with some people even liking the skinny 1/8 inch ones. )My mat has room to spare in the bag, leaving room for a towel, even light workout clothes, but not so much that it rolls around. So, the reviewer complaining that it's not big enough for an Airex Coronella (an unfortunately thick mat, from my perspective, at 5/8 inch), is sort of like complaining that a Mini Cooper isn't a big enough car for a sumo wrestler. For comparison, some makers call a 1/4-inch thick mat "ultra-thick", so 5/8 is more than double the size of "ultra thick". If you're going to buy an extra-large mat, you simply need an extra large bag, and this product isn't billed as such. Drishti could , however, do themselves and their customers a favor here by specifying a 'recommended' maximum mat size for it. I would think mats up to 1/2 inch would fit nicely without needing to fuss.

Over all, a great value. Not super-cheap, but a huge improvement on the standard mass-produced junk one generally sees even at this price-point any more. I'm very happywith it, and it seems like it'll last forever. And it even looks 'cool-but-not-trying-hard'.

SPRI YSK-R2 Yoga Starter Kit with Yoga Mat, Two 6" x 9" x 4" Foam Blocks, 6' Cotton Yoga Strap, and Yoga Postures Poster Review

The advantage of this is the price. I have added yoga as part of the P90X fitness program and needed yoga blocks (I am not very flexible yet.) The yoga blocks areregular blocks, foam type, strong and work just fine. The mat is just a tad thinner than you will want if you are working on a wood or concrete floor, but I have interlocking rubber pads under the mat. It stays put and adds a little more cushioning and slip resistance. I have not used the belt or the DVD as the program I am using does not include the belt and the positions are demonstrated on the DVD's that come with the P90X.

For the price, this works just fine. Go for it.

Gaiam Jute Enviro Fit Mat Review

I've been using this mat for a little over a month, for a 5 day-a-week practice. At first I was thrilled, but at the end of my 2nd class, I noticed it was looking a little rough where I placed my feet. It's continued to get worse and worse, 100s of little pieces of mat come off during practice, and scatter on the floor around me. Since I practice in a studio, it's particularly annoying. I practice with the "sticky" side down, and the jute side up. The jute side is the side that flakes. Practicing with the jute side down stops the flaking problem, but then the mat inchworms across the floor.

Aeromat Fitness Mat - 24in x 72in Review

I bought these pods very excited to be able to use my ipod nike kit without having to buy nike sneakers. I prefer asics as nikes are just too narrow for my foot. As soon as I got the bean pods, I tried them out. I successfully calibrated a 1 mile walk. When I attempted to calibrate a 1 mile run the same day it wouldn't work. I continued to try on various occassions on different surfaces and distances. Treadmill, road, trail, track, turf - .25 miles up to 2 miles. Nothing worked. I tried and tried for about 2 weeks and it would not pick up the calibration and when i tried a basic workout, it would calculate portions of my run. I mean portions - 4 miles would come out to less than 2! 1 mile would be .02. I tried both shoes, up near the top of the laces, middle, and bottom. I tried a light jog, a sprint, and pounding my foot hard to the pavement - nothing worked. It was horrible cause I really wanted it to! So finally I decided to stop trying and I cut a hole in my asics heel cushion which was a pain and what I was trying to avoid (i read a review online about how this works on non-nike shoes). My very first time out it worked like a charm. I calibrated it on the first try and have been running for over a week now without any problems. I really wanted these pods to work, but alas, for me they do not. Maybe it's in my running form? I don't know. I should have just stuck to the cheap method to begin with.

Golf Digest Electric Putting Mat and Electric Ball Return Review

Bought as a gift for my husband, he did not really like the way this item worked.It did return the ball to you, although not always far enough (surface where you use this is important for how it works) & sometimes the return mechanism got stuck.Also, the putting mat was too narrow, and because it came folded in its box, it did not lay flat. The bumps affected the putt & directed the ball off the mat. I guess this could be used as a challenge, but overall my husband did not like this electric putting mat.

Coleman Self-Inflating Mat with Pillow Review

I've just bought this mat, used it for two nights and I really slept as if I was at home. It's anything but portable, so I would really won't recomend it for backpacking-camping. On the other side, if you are going to a camp site on your jeep or truck it's something you should have. The pilow has an independent valve, so you may inflate it untill you fill it confortable.

Stick-e Brands Yoga Stick-e Socks Review

Great product! Ordered from another source and purchased both the socks and Stick-e Gloves.I sweat and slide on my yoga mat-very frustrating. These really help keep me in place. I wear a size 7.5-8 shoe and found that the size small is better for me.The gloves only come in one size, but stretch to fit.The toe separation keeps the socks firmly on your feet as opposed to regular socks.I used to wear slipper socks with the rubbery patches on the bottom and they never stayed on my feet! The Stick-e Socks do cut in a little between the toes when you do certain poses such as lunges, but it's not too bad and better than slipping.I would recommend this product for all of those who want to improve their yoga or pilates workout.

GoFit Deluxe Pilates Mat Review

I just bought this mat a couple weeks ago because my new gym doesn't have any pilates mats. Most people in my class (about 25 ppl) have yoga mats or mats that are marketed as pilates mats but are really too thin. Last night in class, my teacher used my mat as an example of what people should buy if they are just going to take only pilates, and not yoga as well. I never have to add any additional support mats, as the other people in class do, and it's nice that it's so long because I don't have to worry about touching the dirty floor. I am a beginner/intermediate, and I like using it. I only wish it came with a strap or something to help transport it back and forth better!
